Author Topic: Well, my game is messed up, or my whole computer. (Read 3071 times)

I wasn't able to get on my computer for a few days.Not because I couldn't becuase I had other stuff to do.

Whenever I scroll a page up or down on the internet. It sorta "waves" the direction I'm going. It hard to describe really.
Later I tried opening up RA2 both DSL and stock. It refuses to open. I get these messages.

"Graphicsmanager: Unable to find suitable graphics devices. Try changing video resolutions."

After I click out of that this pops up.

"Robot Arena 2: Unable to initialize graphics engine."

After I click out of that this pops up.

"Application Error: giStartup::Winmain Initialization Failure. Press OK to terminate application."

Then it Closes down. I need help. Because this wavy motion is starting to piss me off.

It might have something to do with your graphics card, as it seems all problems are graphics related.

Check your graphics settings. It may be a setting turned off or on when it shouldn't be, though I doubt it is that simple. You should still take a look though.

reinstall your video card drivers. you can get the most up to date driver on the cards website.

HAHA! exactly the same thing happened to me about a year back. same error messages and everything. turned out my graphics card wasnt turned on. Took me about a month to figure out what happened lol

Funny. Exactly the same thing happened to me just a month or so ago. With RA2 at least, I don't remember any wavy motion.

It was nothing to do with graphics. It was a memory problem. I just defragged the computer, and everything was fixed.

Just defragged my computer. Still got the wavy motion and no RA2.

Also, My graphics card or something might just be turned off. Could someone point me in the general direction on how to turn it back on?

Wavy? Like as in, when scrolling down, the page goes down in chunks instead of a smooth slide? That happened to me a few weeks ago. I disabled hardware acceleration and it was fixed.

Right click the desktop, select properties, settings, advanced, then troubleshoot. move the slider all the way to the left.

Cool, Thanks Shadowarts. That wavy motion was aggravating me. RA2 still refuses to open through.

Ra2 still isn't working for those who think its fixed by now.
