Title: TO EVERYONE WHOSE GAME CRASHES ON STARTUP
Post by: Sage on March 25, 2014, 06:35:49 PM: A lot of people are reporting a quick fix to this.

Go to your main RA2 folder. Find the file named "ra2.cfg" (make sure it's not ra2.cfz).
Right-click > edit with notepad.
Find the line "fullscreen = 1" (should be the second one down).
Change it to "fullscreen = 0"

Let me know if that works for you.

It only says that because it's never seen a cfg file before. That dialogue box should let you choose the program to open it with, so choose Notepad, and tick the "always use this program for this file" box for good measure.

Post by: El Chickenado on March 27, 2014, 10:20:33 PM: I opened up the cfg file with notepad and it was already set to 0 for fullscreen. any other suggestions on how i could fix this problem. if there is another page dedicated to fixing this problem , if so could you link it?

i get a black screen and then it says
" Robot Arena 2.exe has stopped working "
if there is any other information you need?

Post by: KOS on March 29, 2014, 10:29:53 AM: Are you launching the game through a folder? If you try opening the game through winrar it will usually crash.

Try re-extracting the game and see if it works. If none of the above work PM me and i can send you the working game.

I was AIing and I had to delete the bindings for a robot.I copied the robot's bindings from a seperate copy of RA2 and pasted them where the robot's old bindings were before they were deleted.

Post by: Trovaner on April 17, 2014, 09:41:11 AM: It sounds like you are getting a syntax error in your Bindings.py. The most likely culprit is that you forgot to use 4 spaces at the beginning of the line that you pasted.
