bot turning seems too fast
« on: July 07, 2008, 08:39:38 PM »
Hi,

I just reinstalled RA2 after a hiatus of a couple of years, then found this total conversion, which is amazing by the way!
The only thing, is that the bots seem to turn way too fast, I'm having trouble getting them to point the direction I want, and end up oversteering all the time.

I don't recall this happening in RA2 without the mod.
Is there a way to slow the whole speed of the game maybe? I saw videos on youtube of the mod in action, and the gameplay speed seems much slower than what's happening on my machine.

The mod's great by way, it's like a whole new game! Thanks for making it.

simple, make a bot that has weapons all around it, a spinner or something, that way, you won't need to turn precisely.

a. no DSL motors are more powerful than stock motors  b. its called a video recording program, they suck and drop your FPS most of the time.

If your bot has 4 or more motors you can program it to turn with only 2 to make it turn slower.

For once the mods did something right

Well I bet you haven't seen me driving Headache 3 (BotM).

Put your wheels as close as you can. That'll decrease turning speed (so make basically the opposite of 360 Arc Pounder, whose wheels are afar from each other for faster turning. (sorry for the grammar, i know i failed there)
