I've been on an efficiency calculus in DSL- already know since several months that Titanium armor is the best, and now i just calculated battery efficiency, discovering that even if the ant batt isn't as efficient weight-wise as a battlepack, three ant batts are WAY better than one battlepack - why ? simply because the ant batt HAS THE SAME TOTAL POWER as the battlepack !
But, having already made math with the 20kg batt, the problem is that i can't find the statistics of the orange and big black batts, because they are in the dropdown menu, and as all other components being in a "group" (like all the magmotors), i can only find the statistics for the first component in the group (in the txt) and there's nothing in the GMF !
How can i find these statistics ?

So, this means you'll attack people using battlepacks?
-
Zip thuh lip, man.
Nary: Maybe ask Click or Mad. That's interesting, I never knew that.

^FAIL^
as always.
Reier: yeah, that's what i'm hoping, that Click/Mad will enlighten me..

i asked mad that same ? a while back to mod the dual perm for a SHW i was making. i dant remeber for sure but i dont thunk you can do it. like i said im not sure though man.
-
Wait, so this means that ant batts have the same amps as battlepaks?
-
the stats are in the .txt of the component, which should be in either styles or just the components folder.
-
All dropdown components ar in the styles folder, if you dont know with wich name they could be, just find the main component(from the components folder) and look at the Styles line in it.
-
YES i found'em! and also LOL at the 30kg black having not even 2.5x the total power of the ant batt!
Thanks guys. Problem solved.
SB: the only electric difference between the battlepack and the ant batt is that the battlepack has an output nearly three times better than the ant batt, but the total power contained in the battery is the same. That is, the battlepack CAN deplete 3 times faster at max power.
I think i'm going to fall in love with ant batts.

I think I'm going to try a homemade patch.

tell me how that works out for ya.

Batteries in RA2 are really hard to balance. It seems like no matter what you do, they either drain in under a minute or last forever. And the motors never drain as many amps as you tell them to (the dual Perm is a case in point). That's why the electricity stats in DSL are so wonky.
If someone could figure out exactly how electricity works in RA2, that would be awesome.
