Startup Error

Hi, I'm new here.
Anyway, I downloaded both the vanilla RA2 and DSL RA2 from this site, but whenever I try to start them they just crash instantly. Could be it because I'm running Windows 7, is there an easy fix, anyone else have this problem before?

RA2 is compatible with Windows 7.

Where did you install RA2? It doesn't work very well inside of the Program Files folders. I'd recommend putting them on the Desktop for now just to see if that makes a difference.

I put it in both my Program Files and Desktop. Didnt work either time.
