Title: Starcore AI goes crazy.
Post by: J on January 20, 2011, 11:47:00 PM
So I tried installing the Starcore 2.0 AI (I dont have a RAR extractor, sue me), and I had deleted the previous AI and pasted in the new AI.
I even replaced the other files that were needed. But when I go over to Exhibition mode, and select a CPU opponent, this is what I get:
I get some weird mis-mash of stock AI + Starcore robots.
I dont get it, I even deleted all the previous teams + all the files for them, and then pasted in the Starcore 2.0 AI and all the files for them.
So why do the Stock AIs images get left behind?
Add to it, if I click any of those left over stock images, the game crashes on me.

Srsly, J needs help here.

IIRC Starcore v2 is still 3 bots per team.

Why'd you erase the starcore bots etc?

IIRC Starcore v2 is still 3 bots per team.
But I remember it having AW through SHW robots.

Wait, why is the font used Comic Sans MS ? It's not standard font.

Wait, why does your comment have nothing to do with the question raised? :P

Because using Comic sans MS is not RA2 standard. Is that an elaborate joke or what ?
And is the team text even light blue ? I remember it as white.

Plus the whole thing makes no sense. There is no such awesometeam in standard SCv2 AI, and if he removed the stock AI files entirely he shouldn't have such a result.

Yes, I am not BLIND joey, thank you. I was just pointing the problems that made him to edit the screenshot in paint.

And that whole thread could count as spam...

I'm preeeeetty sure you need a RAR extractor... Just download winrar, it's free man.

Nobody here seems to be getting the point.
I erased all of the AI teams, and then pasted in the Starcore v2 AI.
And when I go to select a robot to battle agenst, the stock AI is left behind, but in preview-image form. And clicking those preview images causes the game to freeze.
I want to know why those preview images are still there.
The Starcore V2 AI said you dont need Starcore V1, but I'm pretty sure that might have been a typo.

......Maybe

Save all your bots in another folder, reinstall RA2 and try it with Winrar. You've got nothing to lose.

BUMP
I had the same problem on my laptop.
For some reason, when it is in my C:, it screws up.
Just move it to your documents and it should work fine.
