Title: So I screwed up.
Post by: Squirrel_Monkey on August 16, 2015, 04:08:43 PM
So I was trying to reskin Raptor for RedAce's thing when I think I saved the texture incorrectly.
As a result the bot crashed upon importing the skin and I can't open it again.
In theory all the chassis data and part stuff is still present in the bot file. Is there any way I can recover it?

Here's the bot file: https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/2930Bot3.zip (https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/2930Bot3.zip)
It's Ironforge 1.1

I'm no expert on this stuff, but I believe the texture info gets saved in the bot file, so you should be able to change it. I know if someone sends you a .bot file, it's possible to export the texture.

you can move the chassis data and compenots to a new bot file; i had to do it before and it worked

Which sections are those?
I had a go replacing the chassis in an empty box bot file with my chassis and that crashed so I'm clearly not getting my lines right.

Don't know off the top of my head, I'll take a shot at it tomorrow when I get back to my computer.

BUMP
So anyone got any ideas? I'm not good with the bot file but I don't think it should be too hard to recover.

You should be able to remove the second set of non-readable characters and set the true found directly above it to false.

If I get the chance, I'll see about doing it later today.

I tried that when the topic first came round to little success, probably messed it up.
