Title: Robot Arena 2 Resolution Problem
Post by: Robotics on January 20, 2016, 03:11:51 PM
Hi guys, for a while now I've been playing Robot Arena, I loved it so much that I bought the game. I was quite sad to find out that the game doesn't support my monitor's native screen resolution 1920x1080. I found out a way to manually change the resolution in the RA2.cfg file but the problem is the botlab doesn't look quite right after increasing the resolution to anything beyond what is supported in the game. Is there a way to resize the game to my monitor's native resolution without having problems with the botlab? The botlab's grid is half cut off. Anyone who can tell me how to fix this or come up with a Robot Arena 2 HD Mod that would be appreciated.

Unfortunately you'll  probably not have a great outcome with this, purely because of how RA2 has been built. My recommendation, unfortunately, would be to stick to one of the resolutions RA2 recommends. It's hardly a game where the graphics are going to get a lot better with larger resolution, at least in my view.
Lots of RA2 just doesn't scale with resolution very well, in short. Sorry about that! Hopefully someone else might have a better solution...

yeah I play in 1600x900 and it cuts the bottom off a bit. either just make do or use a smaller resolution, I bet a widescreen res a bit lower like 1280x720 may work fine.

Have you changed both the screen and menu res?

There is no need to reply to tech support requests that haven't been posted in for months, especially if they've already been helped.
