Title: RFSHQ arena
Post by: Reier on June 02, 2009, 11:08:40 AM: This sounds real stupid, but how do I skin the RFSHQ tourney arena? I just repaint the "tourneyfloor.bmp" & nothing happens.

Post by: Madiaba on June 02, 2009, 12:18:35 PM: Sometimes the exe doesn't go to an exact folder to look for a certain file. When it loads, it scans more broadly than you'd think, and the first file it runs across with the correct name it loads. I don't know the parameters within which the exe looks for files, or certain kinds of files, but I know for sure it does this 'broad searching'.
You probably have other versions of RA2 or other arenas with that file name or what ever... but it's finding the other xxxx.bmp before the one you moded.
If I were you, I'd just take and re-name the arena giving it and sub files new, exclusive names, and then you will never load another file with the same name, because there's only one.
If you want help, I can show you how to do it (only take a couple mins).

Which one do you guys like best for RRR? (Nar, S32, Urj, SA, Wham, & SB know what I mean.)
