HAAALP! I have a new laptop and RA2 crashes the instant I start it.
-
Huh, weird. I have RA2 on my Windows 10 and it works like brand new.
-
Does your new laptop have an nvidia GPU? I had similar issues with the latest nvidia drivers, once I rolled back to a version a year or so old the issues went away

I'm not sure. One possibility is that my dad, who had tried tinkering my new laptop to play Diablo 1, may have changed the compatibility settings or something.

did you try running it in xp compatibility mode?
is it a fresh install, or a copy you transferred over from an old computer?

HEY, I'M NOT TAKING THE FALL FOR THIS !!!!

I tried the DSL 2.2 FULL VERSION and it crashed as soon as I started a match no matter what compatibility settings I used. HOWEVER, if I left the video quality setting on low, the match started fine with no crash.
Not sure about other parts of the game though, seems pretty buggy to me.

XD Hey dad. The game itself crashed IMMEDIATELY when I tried starting it. I couldn't even get to the match, it wouldn't load the start menu. It just failed instantly.
