RA2 not working (Again)

It's not opening. It loads to the Splash then my computer freezes. I already tried downloading and useing the one from Sages sig. It did the same thing. I think RA2 stoped working after I got the monthy microsoft windows updates. Anyone else having this problem?

My OS is Windows 7 64-bit.

you didnt do anything else to it besides that update ?

No I only updated. Also I just discovered all my other mods don't work and compatibility mode doesn't fix it.

I had that, and the only solution i found was a full Windows reinstall.

You might try to remove the update though, or use a system restore.

I dont know about windows 7 but I know on XP its really easy to roll back through updates of things

Looks like it's time to go dig out my old XP computer.

Try not playing in full screen. Go into Ra2.cfg and change "Fullscreen=1" to "Fullscreen=0"

you could try a virtual computer networked to your actual physical computer (its what I have to run 3DSM) same computer just can do more

I got it working. I system restored back to before updates. Now I just have to figure out what update caused RA2 to not work.

Microsoft updates work in strange ways :P

a version of WMP caused WMM to not work correctly :P I had to roll back untill a newer update was made
