For some reason, my computer has stopped running anything that I want to. I have been unable to run RA2, along with several other games and applications such as Spore and Microsoft Word. This is really ticking me off because I had several great ideas for bots which I cannot make now.

Please assist.

That might be a virus or something, Try scaning the whole computer with your antivirus program. If thats not the case, I cant help.

what kind of computer are you using
i play it on my laptop and i am only able to play it when my pc is on high performance
i hope it helped also try to update your windows/linux/macintosh OSX
try to download packs bring your pc fully up to date

No, scanning doesn't help.

Try to get on a Anti-Virus website. If you can't, you got Cornflicker.

i give you a tip send a message to microsoft
they are trying to find the sender of conficker
maybe they can help you out
and another tip make a backup of important files
it could be the end of your pc

Its not the end of the computer, only a operating system reinstall at worst, if nothing else works.

yeah. viruses only attack programs/files.

salvage what you can and wipe the drive. then reinstall windows (or whatever the operating system is).

yeah that's right but we don't actually know what conficker does
it could be that conficker makes it unpossible for the user to reinstall
all the programs i don't know for sure but microsoft has a reward of a few million dollar for the solution against conficker
it's a very strange virus
really you have to make a backup soon and reinstall before it's to late
conficker also makes computers ZOMBIES and when your computer is a zombie, it sends virusses to other computers and has a total control over your pc

now i hope that it's all gonna be ok

Actually, I think that Microsoft is actually giving out $250,000 to anyone who has individuals repsonsible for the worm, conficker. There are third party applications that can remove it, and it is not the end of the world, or your computer for that matter.
