Title: RA2 Crashing in events

It has been a while since I played RA2 so I wanted to beat the entire game before I moved to the newer versions like DSL and Ironforge. I downloaded the [Stock] RA2 v1.4 from this site.

Everything has been running smooth until I reached Season 3, 6th event call "Blackvolt Tournament". It crashes on the second round as soon as the counter reaches 1 at the start.

In this second round, the arena is "ClawTop". The opponents are [Heavyweight] with the following teams: Prehistoric, RIOT, North Polers

My Game settings:
Fullscreen
Highest settings/ resolution
Using a Saitek controller

Things I tried:
Changed compatibility mode on the .exe to every combination.
Tried different cam angles.
Tried windowed mode.

Post by: Fracture on October 28, 2017, 01:15:32 PM: Thanks for all the info, but that's a really weird error. Are you able to replicate the crash by setting the same match up in Exhibition mode? You could try isolating the source that way. I don't have much advice other than keep trying different things, maybe a different resolution will help. If you can't get it, skipping one event won't matter a lot. I think the seasons go on forever anyway, so there's not really anything to "beat". And you haven't made any modifications to the game files other than saving robots?

Post by: AxeMan on October 28, 2017, 01:43:50 PM: Sorry I forgot to mention the type of crash. The game is not modded in anyway, just stock install from this site.

It just says " Robot Arena 2.exe has stopped working" then windows tries to resolve it, then the only option is to click the "Close program" button.

As for replicating it in Exhibition, I tired that with same opponents and arena. It did not crash.

I did not know that the season go forever. Lol I will forfeit the event and try to move on.
