Title: RA2 crashes when Emergency enters game.
Post by: CowsPetYeti on January 02, 2011, 02:32:20 AM: I recently downlaoded the Patch V1.4 for my copy of RA2. However, now that I have this patch installed, emergency's flipping wedge crashes the game when selected in the Robot Workshop and when emergency enters the game for a fight. The game does not crash with any of the other new parts. The only other thing I have downloaded for my copy of the game is the Patch V1.3

Can anyone help me fix this? Or can the patch 1.4 be uninstalled?

I have been too busy to fix it yet (nor look at the issue so it could be your own error too)

but you can replace the u1.4 patch by applying my other AI patch over it

ok extract them into your main RA2 folder (where the ra2.exe, icon and such is) and allow them to overwrite

it will overwrite a file called Components.cfz and the Components folder itself (the computer says overwrite but its only adding / replaces old files)

let me know if your still having problems and I will sort you out since I caused this mess :S

Post by: Doomkiller on January 02, 2011, 04:47:17 AM: Get your RA2 folder, and move it out of programs. To something like, My documents. Just copy, it probably wont let you cut. Then you sohuld be able to do it.

Or, run your unzipping program as administrator. That should help too.

did you install this copy of RA2 or get it from Sages sig?

actually I just noticed Sage updated it to 1.4 even better (wuv you sage)

so download that then extract and play.. not installing required at all, 1.4 ready to go. ;)
