Question about custom edges
« on: September 07, 2010, 01:28:10 PM »
*for the record, I wasn't sure which section this should go in*

The bloody_drips edge looks like this:
Quote
Filename: bloody_drips.tga
Preview: bloody_preview.bmp
Length ratio (world pixels per file pixel): .02
Width (world pixels): 24
Exactly how does any of this have to do with how the TGA is set-up, with its alpha channel and what-not? O,o
(like starting point/end point of where it appears on the robot, etc)

It's been so long since I made any custom edges, I don't remember, if I ever knew at all.

I think you can just leave all those settings as is and just edit a copy of bloody_drips.tga.  Works well enough.

If you're curious, try changing the settings and see what happens.  (I seem to recall that one of them made the edge thicker or narrower.)

To lack feeling is to be dead, but to act on every feeling is to be a child.

In your tutorials folder, it has some instructions for making custom edges (and other stuff for that matter).

Its been a long time since I've messed with them so thats about all I can offer.
