There's actually a way of doing this in game. You go to the chassis tab. Click on chassis shape, and redesign the bot. Stop cheating.

BFE is like fight club, the first rule is you don't talk about it.  The second rule is you don't talk about it.

But like everyone else said, just rebuild the chassis in the bot lab.  If you don't want to rebuild the bot, then copy/paste all the components over and change the component number, which is about 20x easier than modding a chassis shape using BFE.
