Title: Problems with Bot Exporter!
Post by: helloface on April 20, 2013, 05:12:03 PM
This pops up whenever I run bot explorer:

COMDLG32.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

Is it because I have a 64x OS? Please help!

Have you tried downloading/installing COMDLG32.OCX?

It isn't a problem with your operating system or the number of bits that it uses (I use it all the time on my 64 bit machines).

Edit: Perhaps this (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/comctl32ocx-a-file-is-missing-or-invalid-error/6ac1bedd-ddb5-4482-bb30-e404af091def) may be of assistance to you.

Thanks, but it didn't work. I tried dragging the file into SysWOW64, System 32, the folder in which the exporter is located, and the exporter's archive.

Have you tried using the compatibility modes?

I'm not sure what exactly that is...

If you are using windows 7 or 8, you can change the virtual environment that the program runs in.

Off the top of my head, you just need to do something like this: (I'm not running windows ATM)
1. Right-click the executable
2. Go to properties
3. Switch to the compatibility tab
4. Change it to a version of windows that you think it would work in
5. Try it out (repeat until it works or you run out of options)

Alright, I will try that out. Thanks for helping me out with this, by the way.
