Title: problem installing ra2 nocd patch
Post by: toAst on September 05, 2014, 10:49:57 PM: when i download the ra2 nocd patch (v. 1.0) for my patchless ra2 the .zip folder downloads and if i double click on it i can see a little icon in there for the patch, but when i unzip it it creates an empty folder and also set off a little malware block notification as well. ideas?

edit and nothing upon redownloading either. what gives :( i want to finally install dsl

Post by: Scrap Daddy on September 05, 2014, 10:52:43 PM: Not really sure what the problem is, but there are both downloads for stock and DSL 2.1 in the download section. Both work without the cd and would get ya playing ra2.

Post by: toAst on September 05, 2014, 10:56:19 PM: see when i was looking at the instructions for the first download listed on the page (there's two of each 2.0 and 2.1) the instructions i read said that i needed the nocd. however i tried clicking the other one and it looks like it doesn't mention that... so i'm going to give that a run and see how it goes

Post by: toAst on September 05, 2014, 11:17:07 PM: oh i see whats going on here. my computer saw it as a zip but it was a rar file. now i just have to figure out why norton keeps scanning it and coming back as unsafe. is that typical? should i just turn it off?

edit ive renamed my robot arena folder and went to run the mount the iso but when it runs it gives me the play option instead of the install option. not sure what to do about that... can't install a new copy for dsl if i can't do that. my disk is scratched to all hell from years upon years of travel and abuse

double edit oh lord scrap daddy just told me you can install it in one bang nowadays. im dumb and old. sorry! imma give this a shot. big ups to scrap daddy if this works
