NEED HELP WITH BATTLEBOT PACK!!!

HI! I have robot arena on CD-ROM and I tried to install the battlebot pack, but I kept getting this message: cannot create access is denied make sure the disk is not full  .    I really want to install that battlebot pack,https://gametechmods.com/forums/images/smilies/cry.gif

Remove the "read only" option of folders in your AI folder before copying the battlebots pack there.. Or reinstall RA2, then make the previous removal, and install your pack.

HI. I tried undoing the read only option on th AI folder and a message came up saying:
 You have chosen to make the following attribute changes: unset read only . Do you want to apply this change to this folder only, or do you want to apply it to all subfolders and files as well?
and it gives you two options:
Apply changes to this folder only.
Apply changes to this folder,subfolders, and files.

I chose this folder only, because the other one comes up with a thousand error messages when you check it.

I clicked apply and then ok. but when I came back to properties, read only was still checked!!!?!!

I don't really want to reinstall the game because that would erase all the bots I have created.   IS there any more advice you could give me??

Yes of course to all files! The files are the most important.

Have a look at the Install Components tutorial I made. The technique is described here.

And for reinstalling the game without deleting your bots, you go into the bot lab, you export all of them, then they are, as .bot files, in the Robot Designs folder that you can copy elsewhere. Then you will not lose them.

HI. I tried to undo the read only box, but the game wouldn't let me. the read only box was grayed in and it wouldn't stay un-checked!  do you have any idea what is going on?

HI your tutorial was a great help!   There is one BIG problem that still occurs:  when I click apply to undo the read only, (i did it just like you said in the tutorial) an error message pops up saying:     Error Applying Attributes
 An error occurred applying attributes to the file:
 [drive:]\[file]
Access is denied.
{Ignore} {Ignore All} {Retry}       :-P

Maybe there is just something wrong with my computer!
Have you or anyone else ever seen this?

Sorry. I was getting that error message because I was trying to change the read only of the files on the disk, not in C:program files :lol:.
