Title: Patch Error

Hello all.  I am about to install DSL 1.0, but first I need the RA2v1.2 patch installed.  When I try extracting the patch, I get the error seen in the attatched image.  I am using a CD version.  Thanks.

:?  This is a new one, I've never seen this error before.

Is your RA2 located in "C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Robot Arena 2" on your hard drive? It looks to me like the patch can't find your RA2. If it's in a different folder, move it to "C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Robot Arena 2"; then try installing the patch.

My game is already under "C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Robot Arena 2".

What will happen if I install DSL without the patch?

Open the game and go to credits and look in the top right corner and check version. If it says 1.2 then it is already patched. If it says 1.0 then put your CD in the tray and patch it to 1.2.....You MUST have the CD in to patch it.

Oops.  Forgot to mention, the CD was in and the patch is not yet installed.

Is your install offical install?

So it makes registry files and everything and adds remove option in your control panel?

If it doesn't make the registry files you can't patch the game because the offical patch uses registry files to find the game.

Because my homemade offical version of the game is located here. D:\Robot Arena 2 1.2

And that isn't certanly in here C:\program files\robot arena 2 and so on.

And when I applied the patch it just asked the cd in to my drive and then it patched the game.

Oh yeah and the patch needs the game in the drive thats why because it c are all the files same at the drive as in the cd when it patch and if some of the files isn't same sized it doesn't patch them.
