Title: Only Standard Components in Multiplayer

I downloaded the DSL Components from the download section of this website and when I try to play multiplayer it says only standard components are allowed.

You used non-standard components in Mulitiplayer. it's not something you can fix, unless you edit some files in your folder. I don't know the list of all the standard components, but maybe show a picture of the bot you are trying to use? then we can help.

Go to C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Robot Arena 2 and open ra2.cfg with notepad and change....
 
AllowNonStandardMultiplayer=0
to
AllowNonStandardMultiplayer=1

R1885 is right - be a smart newbie rather than the average clueless n00b, and lurk moar.

Plus don't download the DSL components, but the full DSL. Way better like that. (link in my sig).

All the replica parts(unlocked with the cheatbot2 code) and the multiextenders are counted as nonstandard components as far as I have seen.

And you should do what ACAMS and Naryar said.

The noob here has a question. I have dsl. Are there other unlockables or anything else one can get?

make a new bot. type in 'cheatbot2' in the name slot and press enter. lots of cool stuff.

or download some components off the gametechmods website (link in blue near top of forum)
