Title: Old AI bots stuck.
Post by: CS7 on July 07, 2007, 11:33:02 PM
I have a Vista and the CD, btw.

I have a glitch when I uninstall and reinstall this game in the same directory where all progress and ****y downloads still show up (except for some components.

When I installed this, it took me a while to figure out that ALL of the stock AI bots are changed, but some of them don't.  This makes hard to access events and I have to be careful not to select the stock bots.

Does anyone else here have the ****y Vista OS and ran face-first into this problem?

What is your problem exactly? Something related to stock bots?

I've heard of this, I only had Vista for a few hours but it seems it wants to remember stuff you want it to forget (typical windoze behaviour) Untill they fix this problem (and I would call EVERY DAY untill they do if it happens to me) you will have to rename the folder to correct the problem.

It is working just fine now (in a new directory).

On a side note, does anyone else have a constant issue with the physics "blowing-up"?

I have this problem particularly with The Judge.  If a robot or another object jams itself between the axe and its end point, Judge goes spinning out of control through the air.

Yes, that's normal behavior for Havok engine. It isn't so finished and that makes it cause these so called Havok Explosions. I saw a site which had list at components which will cause the explosion when they fell off and you drive over their dropping points.

I don't know what in the Havok cause this but those explosions are normal for this game.

Another off-topic comment:

For the first time in years, the announcer made comments whenever a robot was shocked in the electric arena.

Does the announcer's comments not work most of the time?
