Non-Standard components in multiplayer
« on: April 20, 2010, 08:22:23 PM »
Hello. Ive recently started playing Robot Arena 2 and I used to play on LAN with friends. But now I installed the DSL patch 2.1 and when I try to add a robot with the new parts in a LAN game, I get a message that says "Only robots with standard components may be used in a multiplayer competition". Is there anyway to go around this so we can play on LAN with the new parts? Thanks in advance!

You must install the 2.1 patch onto the DSL 2.0 game. Your friends are probably using stock.

Putting DSL Parts in stock doesn't work.
Theres also some hacky way to do it too. Not sure about how to do it though.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

Entertain yourself by putting "standard=1" in all the txt's :P

No, there is something like AllowNonStandardComponents = 1 in ra2.cfg, but not sure.

^ correct ^

open RA2.cfg in notepad and change the value of AllowNonStandardComponents = 1
