New Team - Then it Crashes wtf?

Hi,        I have the CD version of Robot Arena 2, I downloaded the RA2 v1.2 Patch,  I then downloaded DSL TC(CD Version)
 
I tried to play it but i didn't work, as it crashes every time i select "new team"




I then installed the DSL TC   patch v1.2                     still no luck, it crashes after i Click "new team" AGAIN,                

i REINSTALLED all of robot arena 2        a fresh, FULL install,     then installed the RA2 v1.2 Patch again,    AND  installed      DSL TC       AGAIN,   it still won't work AGAIN





i installed the DSL TC patch v1.2     AGAIN,        IT STILL WON'T WORK, WTF!!!??!?!?!

i have tried everything it says in the 3 sticky topics and NOTHING,



Now Where have i gone wrong?!?!???!?!?               no matter wtf i do, it ALWAYS crashes when I click the "new team" button




SOMEONE    HELP!!!!!!!!!!    

BTW just so you know,  i HAVE tried to install it withought any patches just to see if it would work...            and it didn't...

Well I can't say much more than...

Just uninstall it once more and then install the game's patch. Then run the game and go to creadits and see if there reads 1.20 version. It is in the right top corner.

Quit the game and extract DSL 1.0 to separate folder and then cut everything what is under that folder where you just extracted DSL 1.0 and then paste them under that folder where you did install RA2 with 1.2 patch.

It ask to overwrite everything click yes to everything.

Then extract DSL 1.2 to separate folder and do as before cut and then paste to the game's folder and then overwrite everything.

Now you should have 1.2 DSL mod installed.

And if the new team's creating still crashes try once more to uninstall whole game. Then install it, run it and create new team and then quit game, patch it, run it, create again new team and quit.

Now install mods and then try creating new team. If that crashes then I can't help you further but at least you should have 2 extra teams now.

If you are installing DSL right...by installing to an empty folder on your desktop and moving to the Robot Arena 2 folder by hand, then the only thing I can suggest is you delete the Components .cfz file in the Main RA2 folder. But I think you are not following the directions because that is what usually happens. You need to delete the Components.cfz anyway.

i may have just stumbled onto a possible fix for this problem, i was getting the same thing myself, tried installing the game, patching to 1.2, installing the DSL mod
opening the game and having it crash when i tried to make a new team
then i went into the robot arena folder
saw a file called ImportReplicas.bat
ran that file, opened the game and now it works
hope that helps  :o

also, before installing the dsl mod
make your own team and just import one of the premade bots
before running the .bat file
worked for me
