logitech rumble pad 2 problems
« on: January 15, 2011, 10:30:34 PM »
I am trying to setup my gamepad with robot arena 2 with the dsl mod. When i go to set the axis controls it acts as if the gamepad is not calibrated right and it switches between axis. I have calibrated it many times and its good. Is this a known issue that any experts have ran into. Im stuck and ready to put the game back on the shelf. Any suggestions?

RA2 is an old game, maybe too old for your pad thing.

I made a Saitek joystick controller work for RA2, but the game is MUCH better with regular keyboard support.

Is the game not seeing the pad when you try to wire it, or just not controlling your bot?

The controller acts as if it is out of calibration so as soon as i try to input an axes for a control it is already registering with some type of axis. I know this controller will work ive used it b4 just having some wierd problems its like i have to increase the deadzone on the gamepad or something. Thanks for the replys!!

I used to have a joystick hooked up (a very OLD joystick, like from the early '90s old, so it's nothing to do with the age of your controller) and it did the same thing.  It's a pain trying to input the controls, but once you get it, the bots control just fine (except for some random jitters when you're not moving).
