I am trying to add another bot. (I have already added some)

As far as I can tell I am doing everything right with the .bot files and the binding, but I just keep getting a black square where the bot should be.
I have also tried to switch the bot for another to make sure it wasn't the .bot file or whatever.

I doubt there is a limit to the amount of AI bots, but is there?

Jules, I'm not quite sure what your asking, but there's no limit to the amount of AI Teams you can have. I have 90 AI Teams presently.

Are you adding new teams with bots, or just trying to add bots?

dont you just have to add the team file to the bindings? thats what i think i did a long while ago....

Yes, that's a given... Well it's actually the bot's info line.

Nevermind, I see what I did.

When I edited the teams file I copied team ra2, which only has slots for 5 robots, not 6.

The number of bot of each AIed team is describe in the file 'AI/teams.txt line : Robot ...

there is a team with 3 bots :
index 1
Team XXX
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
AI/xxxxxxxxxxx.bmp
Robots: 0 1 2
Robot In Event: -1
...

and there a team with 6 bots :
index 1
Team XXX
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
AI/xxxxxxxxxxx.bmp
Robots: 0 1 2 3 4 5
Robot In Event: -1
...

Bye the way, madiaba, you say you had 90 teams, but in events, do the program select from all thoses,it seems that it only select from the 16 first ones ?

Yea, people often change the number of Teams or Bots in a Team, without editting the 'Teams.txt".

Yes, Phil that's true (but actually first 15 AI Teams, cause the User is the 16th for the Event tourney). So I wrote a DOS Batch file that rotated the Teams in sets of 15, thus gaining access to all AI 90 Teams for Events.
All are there for Exhibition, no prob.
I've given it to several (Starcore, Trovaner, Sage,... to use), and I was thinking of 'canning' it, and then putting it up for general download. But I thought too many would mess up the RA2 directory installing it,.. though it's not that difficult at all.

(BTW: I did the same for the bots in the Teams, because as you probably know, in the Events the exe doesn't see the last 3 bots).

just to cover all bases:
If you meant more bots per team the limit is 6.
