Layering burst pistons
« on: November 29, 2004, 12:46:16 PM »
I have problem with layering the burts pistons.  I cannot make the third layer, because the game throws the part, what i tried to attach, to the center of the body. What I mean with layers, well when you attach a part to body and then place another part above that.

Is this a bug, or does it have something to do with my computer.
My graphics card is Geforce FX 5600

That is just what I mean. But I can't put the third layer here, because when I try to put another three over those other pistons it throws the piston to the area marked in red or somewhere close that.

ok, to be on subject, i think it has something to do with those NPC motors, whenever i have those motors in a bot im building, they tend to be "parts magnets" and do the same thing to me.............

Yep, that is as close as they would go, and they wont go very close over motors either..

I get that alot, but it happens with alot of parts for me, even the control board. Some weapon motors, ect. I'll gather a list when it annoys me to the point I'll have to.

Funny, I've never had any problems like that with any components.  My suggestion for the above bot is to use those bigger pistons with 2 connection points, so you can put on 2 things for the price of 1 piston.  Also use extenders to put more than 1 spike on each piston, like 4 or something.  Then you should be able to fit everything in because you won't need so may pistons.

Even this is old thread and so on want also report that when I had a chassis what was very full and when I mounted a piston in it on floor of the chassis and whenever I tried to add something above it the object moved across the chassis to end of the piston, in this case to the center of the chassis.

But I solved the error so that I moved camera angel to much harder mounting angel and when I moved again an object above the piston it didn't move anywhere even the mounting was almost like shooting to a target what is 100 m away from you and you have a bandage on your eyes.

Buty finally I did manage to get it to the right place.
