Title: how to make AI robots NOT havok
Post by: Wolfsbane on June 15, 2011, 07:56:31 PM
A problem i have when playing as AI robots, maybe some others, is that sometimes, when the part gets jammed on something, (i.e. razer's claw crushes something wrong, or wheely big cheese's flipper is open for too long) it creates a major havok. i am going to fix it. in this case, i'll use razer

1. take off all the AI specific parts. (make sure cheatbot2 is on)

2. replace the T-Minus burst motor with a normal one. (i prefer BSG-200s)

3. put all the AI parts back on, adjusting the componet locations an necessary

4. rewire, test and enjoy!

if u need help, let me know.

A faster solution would be BFE

Even making a new component text file then BFE

Just saying

Alternatively, you could fiddle with the Snapper txt file itself.  It's been a while since I had a havoking problem, but I believe it can be fixed by lowering the numbers in the "burst" row.  If you need more flipper power, you can raise the numbers in the "power" row with less risk of a havok.

only thing is some of those replica bursts are used in multiple places.. so while you adjust for one robot you could disrupt another..
