If you don't have the parts needed for a bot the game gets grumpy and quits. You did remember to let it overwrite all?

The easiest, AND BEST way is to download all the full versions of mods and have separate versions of the game....that way you can copy/paste your stock game to do a BOTM no rules and can launch a LEGAL version of DSL for tournaments......and can have several other game folders for various AI packs and mods. I had 25-30 game folders back when I used to build bots regularly.

You need the whole pack for it to work. The parts pack is little more than a abridged version.

I tried that but..... W/ WINRAR I HIT yes to all and it came up with 5,257 errors!!!

Delete any DSL 2.1 file you have on your desktop so there's definitely no overwriting. Re-extract to desktop using WinRar. Open DSL 2.1 folder. Use the Robot Arena 2 exe. Win. Okay? Seriously, if you get shouty or can't do that, there's no way you'll even work out how to play RA2.
