Oh boy...

This is because I said it would be easier to make a new arena than edit the Robot Wars arena, isn't it?

Well making arenas is basically the same as making components.  Have a look at the tutorial on my website.  http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/modding.htm  Once you get a grip on basic gmf editing for components, decompile some of my arenas (NOT any arenas made in 3D Studio Max... those can be quite complicated) and take a look at how they're built.  Arenas are, essentially, a bunch of components with 0 mass put together into a solid-seeming construction.  A little like building with LEGOs.

Making .py's for arenas is more complicated than the gmf work, but if your arena doesn't do anything special, you can just copy the .py from the low lag arena or something and change the name references inside.

Oh boy...

I will quote that for truth :P

Arena's are really the end phase of Modding... well "new" ones are..

-- 1 ----------------

Start messing about with component GMF's first like Click said...

Ram-plates, Super-volts or other rectangle prism components are the best place to start as they are very easy to understand...

-- 2 ----------------

Mess about with more advanced or multi object components

-- 3 ----------------

Learn Python coding (probably AI one first as they can be easier to understand in some parts)

-- 4 ----------------

Learn to use the Arena pythons and how they work

-- 5 ----------------

Learn mass object GMF's such as arena GMF's
