hey guys how do you modifie one of the stock Ai?
-
By BFE? Or by actually building with them?
-
I mean how do you get to the components section so you can add stuff to them beacue I see rebuilds of bots like backyard ripper everywhere but I don't know how to get to them
-
go into the folder called AI, and into one of the Team folders and copy the bot file and paste it into the robot designs folder
then hit import on the team page and import it to a blank space on the team
-
were is the AI folder? thanks so much (two hammerd Deadbeat here I come.......)
-
In the game folder.
-
thanks and can you help me with one off topic thing? for some rason when I wire my bots with tank steering it just spins in place please help :vista:
-
You need to do it in reverse, for some reason the tank treads are wierd.
-
Forward/ Back
Left Side: Anti-Clockwise, Clockwise
Right Side: Clockwise, Anti-Clockwise
Left/ Right
Left Side: Clockwise, Anti-Clockwise
Right Side: Clockwise, Anti-Clockwise
-
thanks but where is the game folder?
-
It should be somewhere like c:\program files\infrogrames\Robot Arena 2
The tutorials folder is in there.
-
.... Is this guy for real? Or another Mrhalitosis?
-
That's what everyone is saying in the MS Paint thread.
-
Then we need to implore one of the admins to reveal his true identity.
-

I took a screenie of NAR AI, and I also added the bot exporter and editor, but the AI folder's still on the top. :P
-
okay so I finnaly found them but when I click on the teams it says no Itams match my serch :frown:
-
That's because it's not labeled as DEADBEAT.bot. It's in Team13, Bot2.bot. Copy that into your Robot Designs folder and import it into your game. :D
-
I'll make this an assload easier for everybody.
Download THIS:
https://gametechmods.com/Robot_Arena2/bots/Stock_AI_Bots.zip
Just throw them in your robot designs folder and BLAM.
-

-
Check the screenie I made. It's just under the AI folder. I know you're somewhere around 11, but at this age you should know how to play around with the computer. :P

*Sigh* Either he's a troll, either he's unable to figure something without help.

Thanks guys, sorry about all that i'm just horible with computer files ;)
and one more thing, after i download starcore, how do I send it to the game?
I think I keep having ishues is because we both have waaaaay diferentoperating systems so the files are in differnt spots
BTW sorry I screw up when typing alot, i don't even realize t because my keyboard sucks
-
do you mean how do you run starcore after downloading it?
If so, do this
1. go to C://Program Files/Infogrames. There you will find the RA2 folder.
2. copy and paste the RA2 folder in the Infogrames folder and rename the folder something like Starcorev3.0, or whatever you wanna call it. You should now have two folders named Robot Arena 2 and Starcorev3.0.
3. extract the files from the starcore .rar file that you downloaded onto your desktop for easy access. If you don't have WinRar, download it from the GTM front page.
4. cut and paste those files and such into your Starcorev3.0 folder. When it asks you if you want to overwrite files, click "Yes to all". Now your program folder should be set up.
5. finally, copy the RA2 Application icon from the Starcorev3.0 folder onto your desktop, once again, for easy access.
6. Double-click the icon on your desktop and have fun playing Starcore. ;)
If you have any questions or concerns about this or if I need to explain something better, just ask.
Btw, what is your operating system  (just read that now...)

one more thing, after i download donut bot do I copy/past it into the robot arena 2 folder? and i have windows BTW
-
Windows what?XP...Vista...2000... what sort of windows?
-
The version of Windows doesn't matter. What you need to do is to right click it, click 'Copy', then go to where your RA2 folder is located. From there, look for 'Robot Designs', right click it, then click 'Paste'.
