help my game crashes pls

every time I go to the exhibition mode and select an ai robot the game crashes and it says robot arena 2.exe has stopped working and it does it every time I have dsl2.0 and its on disc

Is the AI properly installed? If not the game will crash.

yes I think it works for tournament mode

Have you installed any AI packs, and does it happen for every bot or just some of them?

Also, does it happen when you select the bot, or when you load the battle?

I have not installed any ai packs its just the default dsl2 robots (and the teams battlebots and robot wars robots). it happens when I click the green square to choose an ai bot. also on a different file for the game it does the same thing except it happens when I click the blue user bots icon but that doesn't happen on this one.

I don't know what would cause that.  Sorry, but the only thing I can think to suggest is reinstalling DSL.

ive thought about that but it does 1 of the problems for each copy of the game I have. so should I uninstall the game completely?

Is the game in your program files folder(s)? They've been known to cause problems.

I would wager your AI folder is messed up.

Save your bots (aka make a copy of your Teams and Robot Designs folder) and reinstall.

Oh right, if you have a 64 bit operating system, make sure RA2 is installed in "Program Files x86" and not regular "Program Files".  Or anywhere really, just not "Program Files".

I managed to fix it by redownloading dsl2.0 and put it on a different copy of the game I had that worked and transferred the ai bots to the one that wasn't working and now it works fine and I used to have it in the programs64 or 86 not sure which number it was but seems good now
