Attaching them anywhere, or only to the baseplate?

Only to the baseplate.

Inf, the collision meshes of some components actually stick below the chassis. So check this by just removing some already installed components.

Also, make sure you're using the correct attachment point.

Inf did you find the special AP? in the middle of the halfsheet, there are 2 AP's, one used for attaching to the baseplate.

and for some unknown reason you can't put it under an angled top plate or under very small baseplates.

Huh, I assumed Inf. knew that...

talking to him, he said he tried it with an empty chassis.

That's weird, but I know that there are irregularities in the chassis too.

There should be another point on the big titanium sheet to attach it to the baseplate.

To some of you: I am not that dumb, I know how to attach components.

Madiaba: Ive tried it with various empty chassis before, and it didnt work on any.

Am I mistaken? is this not technical support?

I don't think titanium sheets, or half sheets are designed to attach to the base plate.

Inf, send me both your bot and the gmf of the half-sheet and I'll look it over.

Halfsheets clearly are.

Madiaba; I will send you my .gmf, because the problem is universal.

Is the error you're getting at the bottom of the screen, "Baseplate components must fit inside the chassis"?

I hate that error.  I don't know how to bypass it.  It happens if you try to attach a baseplate component on a chassis that's too flat (like at the front of a wedge, or else just on a really flat box).

You should be able to attach half sheets to a tall box.

Sorry for the big bump, but I just tried this and it worked.

I adjusted the height such that I was able to put a battlepack vertically. I was then able to put a half-sheet under. But when I slided the chassis down by even just one pixel, I can't attach the half-sheet (nor a vertical battlepack).

Not sure if this works for you guys, though.

yup you cant stick a halfsheet under the chassis is it is too short.

as well as you cant stick a halfsheet under a sloped part of your chassis.

Heh, perhaps it's something to do with the dents bots get?

No, it's just that for some reason, if you make your chassis too short, the plate won't fit. The solution to this: make a taller chassis.

empty space!!!

my fav is to use a baseplate and a skirt cuz its lighter. the baseplate doesn't touch the ground because it is set to unseeable when in the chassis.
