Title: Grey Screen after 1.3 patch

I downloaded the game today an some of the graphics on the main menu were unreadable, so i downloaded the 1.3 patch an applied it.......now after the into of pictures my screen goes completly grey and all you can see is the cursor. I also installed DSL 2.0 and it was still grey...then I ran the 1.3 patch again an its still gray. Also if I install DSL 2.0 on the stock w/ no patches my main menu still looks funky. Anyone know how to fix this?
BTW I'm using
Windows Vista
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
AMD 64x X2 Dual Core Processor 6400+

Did you install DSL corectly? Did you use the Download only Vr. for DSL? Did you saved to an empty folder on the desktop, move the contents of the folder on to the desktop by hand, and did you moved the contents into the game folder? Also, 1.3 does NOT work with the downloaded game.

Maybe its Vista?
But, still RA2 works fine on my cousins laptop!

1.3 patch is not for the download version of the game.

Yeah I unzipped into a empty folder...etc.  I searched the forums for an answer for this problem an I found this thread https://gametechmods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=587
thats how my menu screen looks b4 the patch.

There is a 1.3 patch for the download version in gametechmods download database.
YOU CAN NOT USE the official patch for the download version of the game.

The gametechmods patch is what I used

Yeah I did it right. My old computer is running it just fine an it uses Windows XP so windows might be my problem
