Game freezes at start up

I open my game and when it gets to the rating screen,it stops.I can still move my mouse and all that but the game cannot progress,I am using DSL 2.1 and this didn't happen until recently.

If by sensitive you mean anything outside of arena and component modding then no.

Don't have a lot of knowledge in those fields but I would cut and paste everything you've worked on and put them in a different temp file and see if the game can boot up.

I got the same problem when i tried adding extra ai teams into the game.

did you change the entries in the bindings.py? and in team.txt?

I reinstalled it and it works fine now.

Yeah, I recommend to get 1 clean copy of RA2, and use it as backup if something goes wrong on the copy.

I added them in myself and i modified the teams.txt and the bindings but it didn't work for some reason.

what did you change in teams and what in bindings?

how many bots are in that team? make sure the teams.txt has the same amount of bots. there`s a line that says: 0 1 2 3 4 5 when there are six bots in that team. when there are just 3 bots make the line: 0 1 2

i put all of the bindings data for all of the bots i was going to put in (3 in each team) and for the txt editing i copied and pasted the last team and renamed to the next index (so if the one i copied was 12 i renamed the next 13). and i named all of the teams like they are in the ai folder. i don't know why but it didn't work.

EDIT= i know that it is something wrong with the teams.txt because when i change it back to normal the game loads properly

EDIT2= I'm not sure why, but it suddenly works

what program do you use to edit those both files?

i use notepad. what i think the problem is is that i didn't save the txt or i didn't close the txt but i'm not sure. it's just suddenly started working.

EDIT: i tried to add a second team in and its stopped working again.
