Crashing during the loading screens can mean a number of things. It usually means that you have a problem inside one of the python files. Have you been modding any AI or Arenas lately?

Easy Solution: Reinstall RA2 after a making backups of your 'Teams' and 'Robot Designs' folders. Then just add them to the newly installed version of RA2. If you used custom components, you will need to also copy and replace that folder. The 'Arenas', 'Scripts', and 'AI' folders most likely contain your problem so you may want to just reinstall brand new copies of them. Therefore, if you have made anything that doesn't have a backup, you will need to salvage it individually (you shouldn't just copy the containing folder).

Slightly harder solution: Try to remember what you installed or modified since the last time you played. Then either delete or fix the problem.

1. Which arenas?
2. Did they work when you installed them?
3. If they did work why uninstall them?
4. If/when you uninstalled them, are you sure you uninstalled
    -every newly installed file/folder?
    -only newly installed files/folders?
5. Did you 'edit/mod' any files,.. as Trov inquired?

Can you rar it, upload it, and link me to it?

Reinstall your game and copy paste your old Teams folder on that new game copy by overwriting.

P_4, I had a slot of time to work on your Arenas folder.
Did you get your RA2 going yet?

Replace/Overwrite this file in your 'Arenas' folder: https://gametechmods.com/.../uploads/files/arena.rar (https://gametechmods.com/.../uploads/files/arena.rar)

BTW: WHENEVER you mod a file, ALWAYS make a back up of the original first.  If your tweek doesn't work, then you can always just return to where you began.

That arena seems to work for him.  For future reference, if you want both the game and the arena to work: The .py probably tries to import other .py's that aren't on your computer (I'm guessing LuTze.py).  I know that if you try to import anything that doesn't exist, the game crashes on startup.  If you can get LuTze.py in your Arenas folder it will probably work.
