I am running V1.4
It ran successfully the first two times I tried. I was able to create a bot and fight a match. The third time I tried to start RA2 it freezes during the Infogrames intro screen and will sit there as long as I will let it.
I ran it through the compatibility troubleshooter without any improvement.
Any ideas?
Thank you

Update:
I deleted my original install and started fresh. The game will now start, the music starts, I get to the menu, and somewhere within the next minute it will freeze. Once when I was trying to change the resolution, once when I was trying to select my bot.
Something is causing it to hang.
Any ideas?
Thank you,
JJ

RA2 doesn't like being run windowed on WIN7 or later.

really? windowed mode works fine for me

The trick with windows 7/8 is to be really fast in the popup menus. When you pick your robot you gotta be really fast or it will freeze.

The graphics settings provided by Mr. As has stabilized the game! I was able to play for several hours without incident.
Thank you!

I play fullscreen and it works fine for Win 7.
