DSL Problems
« on: October 14, 2009, 11:23:11 AM »
Hey, I'm new here XD

I'm having a problem with DSL.

This is what I did first:

Installed Patch 1.3
Installed DSL 2.0
Installed DSL 2.1 Patch

From what i see, the testing robots and building the robots (workshop) work fine. But whenever I try a battle on any arena, it locks up and says:

Robot Arena 2. exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I don't know where I went wrong with it which is why I've came here for help. I wanna get this fixed as I want to play DSL as it looks awesome :)

NO!

I think I read ACAMS post that if you 1.3 patch AFTER DSL the game will be mesed up and you need to do everything all over again.

For experiment reasons I installed the patch after I installed the mod and patch and it has the exact same problem.

Does it happen with every bot you use?

It doesn't sound like the standard installation problem.  If possible please post the detailed error message by clicking on the view error button.

Any robot any arena :(

Robot Arena 2. exe has encountered a problem and needs to close

That's the only information I can get; theres no view error button, only close.

Are you even able to open those bots in your Botlab? If not then its missing components.

Im out of ideas. I quess you could re-applying DSL 2.0 and then the 2.1 patch again to see if it fixes it.

Right, I've managed to sort the problem out :)

The moving files when installing it went wrong and in the Team section there were empty folders. I simply copied the AI bots into that section and it ran ;)
