DSL Complication

Sorry, for triple topics... But, I'm getting annoyed with stuff.

I've been trying to get the DSL, downloaded. But, I'm just confused...

1st time I've tried:
Looked, at it. Downloaded. And, cancelled.

2nd time I've tried:
Downloaded. Followed. Then, Confused.

3rd time I've tried:
Just got angry...

The person, who explained the tutorial. Was confusing me.

Is there a tutorial, on youtube? Because, looking at what the person is doing, would HELP ME A LOT.

Sage, or ACOMS (I think who made it), needs to make a video about this...

Did you get it from Sages sig, all you do is extract it and it's ready to play.(No need to install over another version on RA2)

Coming from somebody who can't even post this in the DSL section........I doubt if a video would help!!!!

And, I read the whole post 5 times... I'm no computer wizard.

I heard that someone tried this and failed, so i though I would give it a try. It's a full DSL 2.1 that acts as a standalone file. (Similar to the link in Inf's summer Magic thread for stock 1.3) 

This will mean that people can download DSL without having to know anything about extracting to certain spots, no directions to follow, no more glitches, problems, threads about problems, etc.

The only problem is that i had to use megaupload.com for this. GTM's file uploader isn't good enough. With megaupload, I'm getting almost 200 Kb/s, which is amazing for an upload. Sorry if this is an inconvience...

YES, it should be! You DONT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. Just drag the folder ONTO your desktop and then go INTO the folder, right click on "ROBOT ARENA 2.EXE" select "Create Shortcut" and that's it :)

Step 1

go to this link http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1LTTSSJ4

type in the characters in the top right corner and click "download file"

wait out the 50 seconds and then click "Regular Download"

when prompted select any place on your computer you want the download to go to

wait out the download



Step 2

make sure you have WinRar installed

if not http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm



Step 3

right click the file DSL 2.1.rar and select extract to DSL 2.1\

this will then pop up for a few mintues

Step 4

A file DSL 2.1 will appear right where you are

open it and you will find another file named DSL 2.1

finally open that folder and you will see the entire DSL 2.1 game

double click Robot Arena 2 and BINGO your playing DSL

And yes, it is awesome.

I suggest looking at some of the skilled builder's DSL showcases if you don't have done it already, then starting your own. We then will be able to give you advice on your building.
