Author Topic: downloaded dsl 1.0 then 2.0 and it keeps crashing.... (Read 2562 times)

I am using the dled version

and yes i read the rules of post and how to install the stuff....

now....

i installed a new dl version then put the crack in and then did the dsl1 then dsl2

i try to go and play a match (human vs cp, or cp vs cp) and it crashes.....

i say ok then i go to the team area and try and start that campain like thing(turnamnet based thing) and it crashes

i put the ui fix in there as well and still nothing......................just keeps crashing

its not my pc......it has to be what i dled (dsl1 or 2)

or i did it wrong.

can someone help?

ps.....dont think i am a noob just because this is my first post...........i just dislike posting on forums.......also i forgot my old name i made back in early 06 so yeah......had to remk(create a name)

You are using a torrented version? Those are notoriously unpredictable and unstable. To install the 1.2 patch, you need to have a cd in the drive, doesn't matter what.

Pssst. Just between you and me Duh, I have found a torrent version which is totally working. :wink:

But there's also that if you use the real official downloaded version of the game, it doesn't need to be patched because downloaded versions of the RA2 are already patched to 1.20 version and patching them just causes downloaded version's files to be overwritten with downloaded one's and that causes some serious erros in the game.

Um... I assume the downloaded version is a .exe file, and the cd version has absolutely nothing to do with .rars... Soooo, I'm going to have to say that sounds a LOT like a torrent or some other sort of P2P exchange. Unless you're referring to the CD crack, in which case I would recommend you not install it at all, and see if it works before doing that. But, then again, if you're using the DL version, why would you need a CD crack? And if it's to register your DL'd version, try installing everything first before you engage in that particular slightly illegal act.
If, however, you need a better version, Mr. Weedy just informed you who to bother.

then got the crack from here where i can play the demo for FREEE

then i got the d1 and d2 pack with robot war bots and battlebots and some others as the ais............

but the game wont stop crashing and it wont let me fight, watch fighst or make a bot team

So you are using legal downloaded version. Then you need downloaded version of the DSL-TC 2.0 mod too. But if you have already it and it still crashes...

Try to PM Clickbeetle. He might know something which we don't.

I have a good idea what is wrong.

#1- There is no crack for the demo.....and it is already 1.2, so it will not need update.

#2- If there was a crack and it made the demo work then he installed DSL directly to the Robot Arena 2 folder INSTEAD of to an empty folder and moved by hand and told to overwrite all.

and i put it on my folder and then did the copy stuff....i am not that stupid to put it directly into the main folder

Like we all know, a crack for the game makes it act like it is well... On crack. Just BUY the game and it will work just fine for you. Besides, RA2 is only like $10-$15 anyway.
