hmm, it might be possible, but you may have to re-right the actual code/py file for what you want

also, what is so annoying about it?

robots being OOTA'd during fights, unfair immobilizations, messed up camera angles (fridge in the way), catch my drift?

I'm looking through the .py for you and testing some changes. No luck so far, but if I manage it and no-one else has answered yet I'll post it here.

I know Sonny uses/has used a reskinned DSL Tournament arena. You negate the flipper and dropzone issues but there's no pit and no crowd/backdrop/control panels.

Okay, so far I have successfully disabled the floor flipper, but unfortunately the fridge starts on the arena floor.

Also, I think Sonny now uses Wham's RW arena with stuff disabled doesn't he?

Just to check, are you using the default DSL Robot Wars arena, or another one like Wham's for example? The process should be the same for either but I used the default DSL one.

Awesome, that makes this very easy. Here's the modified .py, which you need to put in your 'Arenas' folder. (that is, assuming the attachment worked :S)

double post, is this the Dsl3 arena because i dosent work in dsl2

Nope, it's definitely the DSL 2 one. Maybe you installed it wrong somehow?
And what do you mean by doesn't work? Does it crash the game, or does the dropzone still turn on or something?

Huh. Works fine for me, and I checked the file I uploaded - it is the right file, it should work. Are you sure you installed it in the right place? It should be in the 'Arenas' folder, and you should have overwritten the existing file.

Edit: if anyone else has the time, can you check that it works for you as well. I know it works fine for me, and when I look at the file I uploaded it should definitely work, but better safe than sorry.
