Difficulty Attaching Parts
« on: January 21, 2015, 02:16:37 PM »
(I know this is a pretty old forum, but it seems to be the only place where I can get help with this problem)

I've been having a problem with any RA2 mod I install (DSL, any of the Beetle Bros', etc.). It's really difficult to attach parts to other parts, specifically attaching extenders/attaching things to extenders. I have to align it up, to the pixel, in order to attach them. This makes robot building pretty much impossible, except for in the base game. Can someone help me with this?

this happens when you're in botlab and alt tab out and back in.

Hey, we're still pretty active, plus the only place RA2 is still really a thing :P

That issue is most likely caused by alt-tabbing out of the game , it gets a bit funny about it sometimes. Load the game up without alt-tabbing out and try placing some stuff, it should be a lot easier. If not, we'll have to look deeper :)

The easiest way to fix it is to go to the Test Garage and back to the Bot Lab. That always works for me.

I've had some luck by pressing the pause key if it's cause by a motor that won't stop spinning.

+1

Less annoying than leaving botlab and return
