Crash on the BotLab
« on: November 02, 2004, 04:39:19 PM »
Hi, when i'm in BotLan building a bot, I click the button to the right of the DSL Teeth, and the game crashes to my desktop. Every other button and action in the game works fine, it's just that one. Anyone have any ideas?

unzip this to your DSL components folder.

Ok, i downloaded it, put it into my DSL Components directory and tried to run the games aagin. Now it's doing something different. It's saying that famous box "Illegal operation has occured".

By the way, i forgot to say my system specs:
~1.8Ghz AMD ATHLON
256 DDR SDRAM
32MB Kaser S315E-32P TNL Video Card
VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller [WDM] (it's a 32-bit sound card)

any other suggestions?

Did you extract the file to the RA2 DSL_TC folder, or did you unzip to the components folder in RA2 DSL_TC folder?
It needs to be unzipped to the Components folder. OR if it unzipped to the main folder, then just move it to the components folder. There should be a folder named lt_tooth with a maps folder inside, the .gmf file, and a preveiw .bmp. ALSO there should be a lt_tooth .txt file.

i actually extracted to both those places on accident (don't ask) . So i deleted the files in the wrong folder, and made sure that they were also in the correct folder. Any idea what's causing this? :?:

Yes

 v1.0 had that problem
Start all over and use v1.2 from the downloads section.
Be sure to get the right one, CD or download version.

My Robot Arena 2 version is 1.20, and my DSL-TC version is 1.1, there is no 1.2 under the downloads section that i can find.

sorry 1.1 is what you need, nobody else complained of that, so I would make sure you got 1.1 and redo it all.
