Hello and good evening to you.
I have DSL 2.1 running on Windows 7 pro, and I would like to know...
WHY THE STRAWBERRIES DOES IT CRASH WHEN I ENTER THE COMPRESSOR ARENA?
Seriously! The match starts, but the bots don't move. The game crashes within ten seconds.
This also happens with the ocean platform arena.
What's strange is that the rest of the game runs just fine. So whenever this happens, I go from :mad1: to  to ::2mad to :realmad( finally to :vista:
How do I fix this so I can stop being :vista:?

Put the .py file in your Arenas folder (https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/compressor.zip).
This Ocean one, should also work, too (https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/oceanarena.zip).

Good evening once more.
Thanks for trying to help, but...
*AHEM*
IT DIDN'T WORK :realmad(
DSL gave me this error message on both arenas:
[error]|Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library|
Runtime Error!
Program: G:\PC Games\DSL 2.1\Robot Arena 2.exe (I store my DSL files on a flash drive)
abnormal program termination
|OK|[/error]
And so, I am still :vista:.
As a result, I am :frown:.

I can't remember what exactly was wrong with the two arenas but if the fixes don't work then we need to see the actual python error (not the generic Runtime Error message). To get this, you need to have the 1.3 patch and the CFG from the Beetlebros' RA2 Cheat Mode Pack. Then all you need to do is press the tilde button (~) on your keyboard and press pause when red text appears on the screen. Sometimes the red text doesn't appear unless you type "print" into the prompt and hold enter during the short time period before it crashes (just remember to let go and press pause when you see the red text).
IIRC, the Ready-To-Go DSL download already has the ocean and compressor arena fixes in it so it might be easier just to install that instead of applying the fixes yourself.

There is a fix somewhere, I just forget where. Maybe it's in the DSL board somewhere

Download the ready-to-go DSL 2.1. Use that.
