yea, its beein gay. i have RA2 1.2 CD version and im trying to install DSL 1.0 CD version but it comes up with that damn error.

You could try this thing because it says it can't write hazards.py.

So go to resource management and then under that folder and then go to that file, then take characters under right click then look for adjuncts or something like that and if the box is checked where reads "read-only" then uncheck it and try again.

If that doesn't work then you could try to take robot designs and teams folders to somewhere safe and then uninstall whole game and purely start installing all over again. Then at last point cut and paste those folders to that folder where you just installed the game again.

well, not sure if this is what you were telling me to do but i went to the infogrames folder > right clicked > properties > unchecked "read only", then it worked. should have thought of that in the first place. thanks.

It does this if you extract the files directly into the RA2 folder. You need to extract them to a temporary folder first, then cut/paste to the RA2 folder. Unchecking read-only on everything might work as well, but it would definitely be the long way to do things.

oh yea, i knew that. i guess like half a year of not installing that has kind of just makes you not remember the details, or something lol. it seems to be working fine by just unchecking "read only" though, doesnt quite make sense to me but whatever.

just a quick FYI...

DSL 2.0 will Have a fancy installer. hopefully no complications, issues, or "dsl dosent work" stuff
