bot import help needed
« on: July 22, 2007, 01:16:37 PM »
Quite simple problem- I open the bot importer, click on a picture of a robot, and the game closes itself.

I'm sure this problem has arose before, but the search function didn't provide any threads on this topic.

Help me! I want to drive HoJ!!

(I should probably give my game specifications- I downloaded the game from Atari and the importer never worked, even before modding)

The bot you want to load most likely has custom parts you have not installed to your game.
Where did you get the bot you want to import?

I was trying to import the stock robots that came with game.

Luckly, it does work- last night I downloaded HoJ and made sure that all it's contents made it into the games folders, and it worked.

I won't be able to import the stock bots, but that's fine. (I'll probably figure out the problem after a while anyway)

Thanks.

If you have Vista or 64bit processor those could cause that kind of errors because this game is very sensitive. Especially Vista can cause that, it isn't good with games at all even Microsoft told it would be even better than XP with games.
I was Da beta tester Da da dada DA, Da. And that felt good.

Sorry to bump an old topic, but I'm having this problem as well! I downloaded the DSL Components and put them in the RA2 D&D folder, and also the DSL v2.0 bots. I go to the Team HQ, select my team, click Import Bot, select a robot, click OK, the game crashes :(
Best Regards,

Get DSL itself and this problem will go away hopefully. (for a minute I thought Mr. Weedy was back XD)
