Black Screenshots
« on: July 12, 2010, 05:47:03 PM »
Hey, After a few months I came back to DSL & Finished 2 bots...
Now that I take pics of em to showcase them (With F11) when I go to the Screenshots folder, They appear black.
I have Windows 7 32-Bit, I tried running it as Administrator, I tried changing the folder permissions & Nothing...

Last time I had something like this the pics didnt appear (Instead they appeared in Compatibility Files) but now they appear were they shoudl be but just as a black pic :S

Halp? :\

Well thats new one... I'm sorry to say that I have no idea how to fix your problem. Have you tried reinstalling RA2?

There are alternatives, however, if your willing to use them. Using the Print Screen button or running a program that supports taking screenshots (such as Fraps) are the first things that come to mind.

If you have office 2007 installed just press "Windows Key" "S" and then hilight the area you want to take a screen shot of.

Hm. That's weird. The only thing I can think of is another program / process hooking into DirectX calls and messing things up. Are you perhaps running Steam, Fraps, Mumble or any other sort of program that displays an in-game overlay?

Nope, I only things I run when playing RA2 is MSN & iTunes...
iTunes can keep me hours making a bot without noticing :P

Yeah, I also thought of Print Screen, But it would take alot more time to take pics, Thats why I was looking for something to fix it...
But yeah, I guess ill have to use Print Screen :P

Thankz :3

EDIT:
I just tried with my other RA2 (DSL withotu NarAI) and it also has the same probz :S
I recently put a new vid card in my PC, Never played RA2 with it since now, Maybe thats the prob?
I put custom settings in the nVidia Control Panel (Anti-Aliasing & Stuff)... Maybe one of those is causing the probz?

EDIT 2:
Okay, This got weird... Print Screen also shows everything black when you paste it into paint :S
