Beginner needs help making new A.I teams
« on: January 03, 2010, 08:16:01 AM »
I love Robot Arena 2, however I'm quite bored with the A.I teams with their lame robots...I want to add new teams with better robots and I was wondering. How do I get started? Tips on tutorials or tips in general would be great =)

AI packs are a good wa to go

try Starcore 1, once you get to good for them try Starcore 2 and so on

or convert your game to DSL TC or download a ready to run version, new parts and harder AI

Hm, but I don't like those robots...I want to make my own teams and make my own robots for the A.I to use =)

In short terms. I want to make my own AI pack...

That's the one I used to learn how to AI my bots

Find Philetbabe's AI chart. It's in the AI-ing thread in Tutorials section.

And get DSL. It's more than worth it.

So was everyone else.

He needed to AI, not get a bunch of people telling him about the wonders of SC3!

Why the heck did I make that "advice" thread in the first place? jesus christ...

S-32, the help is appreciated, NP.
But the appended hyperlatives are not necessary to communicate logic/fact. But I' sure you're smart enough to know that already.

Thanks.
Input is appreciated. :)

that link helped me a lot really. i have been able to learn basic AIing with it. but i do want to know how to properly add a new team in the list of teams in RA2.
tried it before, probably forgot to do a lot of things, game crashed. brought everything back to original state.
