I'm sure this question has been asked to death here, but I'd just like a little bit of confirmation.
At the moment, my game is filled with graphic errors. The game itself plays perfectly, the only thing that seems to be out of order is the graphics are the user interface graphics.

Is this a problem inherent to torrented copies of RA2? Or is it something I can fix?
I know I'm going to catch a lot of flak for having a torrented copy of the game, but I haven't gotten around to purchasing the game again since I lost the disk. If I must have the physical copy of the game to correct the errors, I will purchase it, but I'd like to know if there's anything I can do in the meantime.
Note that this is a stock, unmodified copy of RA2 and I'm running Vista.

Nope, I torrented mine too and just about everyone is pointing new people to free downloads of the full game.
I belive that you dont have the 1.3 patch Go here (https://gametechmods.com/?do=Patches) and download 1.3 patch, I cant be sure wich version you torrented (CD or Download) so you could try Cd patch first, but if that messes things up more, then reinstall and apply the 1.3 for download version.

Ran the 1.3 patch, opened the game, flawless victory.

I've been around the RA2 fandom off and on for a good while. I was a member here some time ago under the moniker "Xikaze", but that might've been before you joined.
I'm going to install the DSL mod later tonight and play around with that.
