Should be o.k. RA2 is a very twitchy game. It will crash from time to time. Over the years I have had my RA2 (or DSL) crash numerous times. I just restart it. It has never harmed my computer ever. Sometimes if RA2 causes your computer to hang (act non-responsive) Don't freak out and turn the computer off with the power button. If it is thinking and you interrupt it, sometimes that can harm your computer. Learn to use the task manager in Windows and force close a non-responsive program. You can access the task manager by depressing Ctrl + Alt + Del. The task manager allows you to see which programs are running and which ones are not responding so you can safely force quit them. It also has a handy resource monitor so you can see which programs are eating up all your computer memory and slowing things down.

by chance were you playing in a tournament, rumble match in either the compressor arena or the ocean platform? Happens all the time. There's a patch somewhere around here to fix it, although it didn't work for me...

There is my patch to fix the problem on my website that DOES work if you install it correctly
though installing more may be a worry with you Garvin :S

Yeah, Im not getting into patches yet. Not for a LONG time. I was never good with computers though. Once my laptop was over heating, and instead of pulling the batterey out correctly, I yanked on it as hard as I could. It came out alright but laptop was well um,not in good shape.
